Michael J Maximov, MD

Dr. Maximov received both his BS (chemistry) and MD at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He then completed his internal medicine residency and two separate two-year fellowships at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. The first of these was in clinical pharmacology, the study of how medications act in people, and he earned a master's degree in pharmacology. The second fellowship was in clinical cardiology.
Dr. Maximov then opened a cardiology practice in Tucson with Dr. John F. Carroll, where he practiced for over twenty five years. Following a brief trial of retirement, he again opened an internal medicine practice and currently practices at Quality of Life Medical Center. He also serves as the Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Tucson Medical Center as well as being a medical consultant to their Senior Services division. He regularly produces lectures and seminars about various medical and social topics of interest to seniors.
